Our client wanted to install a new heating system that would help make cost savings and use a renewable, environmentally friendly, low carbon technology. Their home has four bedrooms and two bathrooms, and is located a quiet residential area with neighbours nearby.
We chose Vaillant’s aroTHERM plus air source heat pump because they provide a high quality, reliable, quiet system that could be installed within the space available at the client’s property. The heat pump is quiet enough to be installed close to the home and there was space inside the home to install the plant room to run the heating system.
The installation required new radiators and pipework which was installed as part of the project. The sizing and design of the system was created following a detailed site survey that meant we could create a tailored, optimised design for their new air source heating system.
The installation included: Vaillant Arotherm plus heat pump, Vaillant unistor unvented hot water cylinder, Vaillant senso comfort controls, IMI hydronic, Purmo forza column radiators and danfoss thermostatic valves.
We worked with the client to decide where the heat pump would be sited, taking into account protective zones, restrictions in built up areas and the noise impact on neighbours. During our site visit we also checked access to the site for bringing in the air source heat pump which is a large, heavy item, and the availability of space for plant room.
Our client is delighted with the new heating system and finds their home well heated and comfortable during the winter. They have found the system very easy to use through the wall mounted controller and phone app, both of which have intuitive controls. Once set up they feel there is very little that needs further adjustment.

We worked as part of a larger construction team on this renovation and extension of a traditional cottage which doubled the size of the client’s home. The house is in a rural location with four bedrooms and three bathrooms.
We were briefed to design and install a new air source heating system with underfloor heating and radiators, and new bathrooms. Working with the architect’s designs and visiting the site we drew up a detailed, tailored heating system design.
The installation included: Daikin altherma heat pump, Daikin unvented hot water cylinder, Heatmiser underfloor heating controls, Myson underfloor heating system, Heritage bathroom towel rail and Victorian plumbing products.
We were happy to advise our client on their options for heating systems as part of the project and then install their air source heat heat pump. One of the challenges in the project was successfully installing piping through granite walls as the house was being extended beyond it’s original footprint.

Our client wanted to replace existing heating systems in two apartments spread over three floors.
We successfully removed the old heating systems and installed new low temperature heating systems which use the Vaillant senso comfort controls with weather compensation. The project also included upgraded and re-piped radiator systems, with new purmo forza radiators on the ground floor, towel rails in bathrooms and compact radiators in bedrooms.
The installation included: Vaillant ecotec plus, Vaillant unistor unvented hot water cylinder, Vaillant senso controls and Vaillant v-smart controls.
We altered, upgraded and extended a new gas supply to the outhouse at the rear of the building where the plant room for the new heating is located. A twin coil solar cylinder was also installed for potential future upgrade to the system.
